Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Methods and Applications in Language Education and Teaching (JMALET) must be prepared in accordance with the journal’s manuscript template in English or Turkish and the APA 7 (American Psychological Association) style guidelines. Manuscripts should be written in Times New Roman, 12-point font with single line spacing. All margins should be 2.5 cm, and the manuscript length should not exceed 25 pages, including abstracts, tables, figures, references, acknowledgements, and appendices.
To ensure a double-blind peer review process, the manuscript file must not contain any information that may reveal the identity of the author(s). Author information should be entered only in the journal submission system.
During the submission process, Turkish and English abstracts and keywords must be entered completely into the journal system.
Ethical Principles
Ethical Approval
Studies involving human participants must obtain ethical approval from an institutional ethics committee. The ethics committee approval information should be clearly stated in the manuscript. Manuscripts that require ethical approval but do not provide such approval will not be considered for review.
Similarity (Plagiarism) Check
All submitted manuscripts must be checked using similarity detection software such as iThenticate or Turnitin. The similarity report should be uploaded during submission.
The overall similarity rate must not exceed 15%, and the similarity from a single source must not exceed 3%. Manuscripts with high similarity rates may be rejected at the editorial screening stage.
Language of Publication
The journal publishes manuscripts in Turkish or English. The peer review process is conducted in the language in which the manuscript is submitted.
For manuscripts written in Turkish, a structured Extended Abstract in English (750–1000 words) must be provided at the end of the manuscript.
The language of accepted manuscripts may be reviewed by the journal’s language editors. If the language quality is deemed insufficient, authors may be asked to obtain professional language editing.

The manuscript must be prepared in A4 page format using the journal’s manuscript template. Headings should follow the APA 7 heading style.
The title of the manuscript should be written in 14-point bold font, and the first letter of each word should be capitalized. The title should not exceed 12 words.
Footnotes should be written in Times New Roman, 9-point font.
Tables and Figures
Table and figure titles should be written in italic, Times New Roman, 11-point font. Tables and figures should be centered on the page and placed close to the first reference in the text.
Statistical symbols should be written in italics both in the text and in tables.
References
References must be prepared in accordance with APA 7 guidelines. The reference list should be written in Times New Roman, 11-point font with a 0.5 cm hanging indent. Authors are encouraged to include DOI links whenever available.
Appendices
If appendices are included, they should appear at the end of the manuscript. Multiple appendices should be labeled as Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C, etc.
