The Journal of Methods and Applications in Language Education and Teaching (JMALET) adopts a double-blind peer review system to ensure the scientific quality, impartiality, and integrity of the publication process. Under this system, the identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.
Each manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes the following stages.

Upon submission, each manuscript is examined by the editorial office with regard to:

2. Editorial Evaluation
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening are evaluated by the editor or the relevant associate editor in terms of their originality, scientific contribution, methodological soundness, and overall suitability for publication. Manuscripts may be rejected at this stage if they are considered unsuitable for further review.
3. Peer Review
Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
Although editorial decisions are based primarily on the reviewers' reports, the Editor-in-Chief has the final authority regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript.
